We describe a technique for measuring the instrument transfer function (ITF) of an interferometric microscope, allowing both characterization and data processing to increase the fidelity and effective resolution of the tool.
The development of advanced photonic devices working in the visible light promises a revolution in a broad range of areas from biochemical sensing to quantum computing. Over the last years, novel nanophotonic devices were demonstrated but are still limited to research laboratories due to the lack of suitable materials with high refractive index and optical transparency.
A novel method to realizing printed active photonic devices was developed using nanoimprint lithography (NIL), combining a printable high-refractive index material and colloidal CdSe/CdS quantum dots (QDs) for applications in the visible region.
